🌍 International Women’s Day – 8th March
Today we celebrate the strength, creativity and impact of women everywhere.

From a time when women were campaigning for fair pay, better working conditions and, crucially, the right to vote.

From the suffragettes who fought for representation to the female artists who carved out space in a male-dominated art world, progress has always been powered by bold women willing to step forward.

Across centuries, extraordinary women have shaped the course of art history – to name a few that span the decades:

Berthe Morisot (1841 - 1895)
Hilma af Klint (1862- 1944)
Frida Kahlo (1907-1954)
Georgia O'Keeffe (1887 – 1986),
Today - Bridget Riley, Tracey Emin, Yayoi Kusama & Jenny Saville continue to make their voices heard

These women didn’t just create art – they changed the narrative.

Here at Magenta Fine Art we are proud to be championing women artists.

Today we celebrate the incredible female artists on our roster – from internationally recognised names to emerging voices – whose work challenges, inspires and shapes culture:

✨ Danielle O'Connor Akiyama
✨ Sherree Valentine Daines
✨ Emma Gibbons
✨ Anna Gammans
✨ As well as Alix Hazell, Kay Davenport, Lana Okiro, Ana Fernandez, Annette Rydin, Jennine Parker, Jo Starkey, Mary Shaw, Lou Sheldon, Lynn Rodgie, Monika Nowak, Judith Bridgland and jewellery designer April Doubleday.

Women have historically been underrepresented in galleries, auctions and museum collections – yet their contribution to art history is immeasurable.

Today, we continue pushing for visibility, equality and opportunity.
