THE DRAMA OF LIGHT & SHADOW 🖤✨
On 29 September, we celebrate the birthday of Caravaggio, one of the great masters of light and shadow.
His dramatic use of chiaroscuro – placing intense light against deep, atmospheric darkness – transformed the way artists could create mood, emotion and drama.

And centuries later, that power of light remains just as captivating.

At Magenta Fine Art, we see it beautifully in the work of Fabian Perez. His atmospheric paintings of dancers, couples and the streets of Buenos Aires are steeped in dramatic light, with figures emerging from deep shadows and glowing against dark, moody backgrounds.
There’s something wonderfully cinematic about Fabian’s work. His use of light doesn’t simply illuminate a scene – it tells the story.

Because sometimes, it’s the shadows that make the light shine brightest. ✨
