The days are getting shorter, the light is changing, and the landscape is beginning its beautiful transformation.
As we welcome the Autumn Equinox, we’re asking an important question…

ART AS A MOMENT OF CALM 🕊️🌊

Today is International Day of Peace – a day to reflect on peace, unity and the importance of finding moments of calm in our lives.
And while art can’t change the world overnight, it can change how we feel within it.
A beautiful painting can invite us to pause. To breathe. To escape the noise for a moment and simply lose ourselves in a scene.
This is something we particularly love about Philip Gray’s coastal paintings. His sweeping seascapes, dramatic skies and atmospheric horizons capture the ever-changing beauty of the coast, creating a sense of space, stillness and escape.
There’s something wonderfully restorative about looking out across the ocean – and Philip’s paintings bring a little of that feeling into the home.
A window to somewhere quieter. A moment to pause. A little piece of peace on your wall. 🌊✨

$Now for something a little different and closer to home, Magenta Fine Art has teamed up with local photographer Georgia to create ‘Kindred Tides’ a collaborative mixed media exhibition, showcasing local photography (coinciding with Ilfracombe’s first annual photography festival) painting and sculpture with a special opening night discussion with North Devon Surfing Reserve, together we will explore the idea ‘Can Art Save a Coastline’ – in this one week exhibition we aim to bring art, community and surfing together in a conversation about coastal conservation! Featured artists exhibiting in Kindred Tides; Georgia Buckley, Alix Hazell, Drew McDonald, Johnathon Whittaker and Chris Gatcum.
